Thirteen-year-old Dhylan faced a tough time when his baby sister, who had been living with him and his grandmother, Rosario, was suddenly moved back to live with her birth mother. This sudden loss, combined with past trauma, led Dhylan to withdraw and his school performance to decline.
Rosario turned to Masada for help, knowing the impact this was having on her grandson. Masada’s therapist met with Dhylan at school and at home, helping him navigate his feelings during this difficult period.
“I appreciated how the therapist connected with Dhylan,” Rosario shared. “They provided the tools and understanding we needed.”
With Masada’s support, Dhylan began spending time with friends again, and his grades improved significantly. Though he still misses his sister, Dhylan now has the coping tools to manage life’s challenges.
